A simple carrot salad

Me being a vegetarian, I can’t avoid vegetables. My favourite pastime is to make salad. So, this blog will be about the carrot salad.


2-3 Carrots

1 Onion

2 Medium sized Tomatoes

4 green chillies

1/2 normal sized pineapple (optional)

Salt, lemon juice or Vinegar and black pepper to taste

Plain Low fat yoghurt

Handful of coriander leaves to garnish



1. Peel the skin of the carrot and grate the carrots into a bowl

2. Chop the onions into small cubes

3. Cut green chilies into slim round patterns

4. Cut pineapple into small cubes, this is optional

5. Mix the above veges and fruit in the bowl

6. Add salt, vinegar or lemon juice and pepper

7. Add the yoghurt into the bowl and mix well

8. Decorate with coriander leaves

Serves for 4

Yep it’s as simple as that!
